It's Casual

Blouse: BCBG; Vest: BDG Sleeveless Hooded Surplus Vest; Jeans: Adriano Goldschmied; Shoes: Valentino; Sunglasses: Dior Aviators; Purse: Chanel Large Shopping Bag; Rings: Kate Spade, Neiman Marcus

Hiya Lovlies,

The military inspired vest is back! I am obsessed with this vest, and I wear it with everything! It is such a great piece, because it takes any cutsie outfit and gives it a bit of an edge! I really enjoy this outfit because it is perfect for a casual day, and for the current texas weather! Also, I am really digging this weather right now, it's not too hot and it's not too cold! Therefore, it is PERFECT and it has been insanely beautiful outside lately. I can't wait to bust out some more spring looks for y'all!

I hope you all had/have a delightful day!

Springtime Blooms

Leather Jacket: Alice & Olivia; Pant Romper: Alice & Olivia; Bag: Chanel Large Shopping Bag; Sunglasses: Dior, Shoes: Steve Madden Platforms

Hiya Lovelies!

I am so beyond excited for springtime, why you ask? Because I can finally whip out my floral jumper! And well that just makes me super happy. I purchased both the jumpsuit and the jacket last summer when I was studying in NY. The reason I love both of these items are because they are perfect for Texas weather. Since it has still been a bit chilly here, but not insanely frigid I can keep warm and sport an awesome flower print at the same time. I also love that the crop jacket hits right at my waist, rather than to my hips because it hits the smallest part of my body and offsets my hips! Which to me is always a plus!

I hope you all had a beautiful day!
Off to studying for me!

xoxo, Kaimyn

Leather on Leather

Vest: Silence & Noise Urban Outfitters; Shirt: Brandy Melville Elana Top; Pants: Rag & bone; Shoes: Steve Madden; Purse: Chanel large shopping bag; Necklace: VSA

Today was an exciting day! Why? Because, I finally got a leather vest and it was on sale! I really wanted to be comfortable and cute, this top is super soft and the leggings are super comfy. The pumps added a little something something, and I am totally digging the gold tips. I really love how the leather vest takes a plain outfit and turns it into something a little more trendy! I know, I have been slacking on the post lately, but they will start to get more consistent!

I hope you lovelies had a beautiful day and a great weekend!

Until next time,
xoxo Kaimynalexis

Sweaters on sweaters

Outer sweater: Ellie Tahari; Sweater: Vince; Leggings: Lululemon Wunder Under pants; Shoes: Valentino Boots; Bag: Chanel Large Shopping Bag, Rings: Bergdorf Goodman, Swarovski

Today was a messy hair and sweater kinda day. The weather here in Houston has been dreadful, so I decided to layer my sweaters. And I have to say it keep me pretty warm. If I wanted to keep even warmer I could have worn a chunky knit scarf as well, but the sweaters were pretty sufficient. I just purchased these Lulu wunder under pants, and I have got to say that I am in love. They are so great,  incredibly comfortable, and look awesome with some sweaters. Then to bring a little edgier vibe, I rocked my combat boots. The thing I love about these are that they are still pretty feminine with a rocker vibe. Also, these shoes carry into every season because they can work with shorts and a tee or even dresses, and obviously in this case with pants or leggings. They also look super cute paired with scrunched knee high socks. They have been my most go to shoe over the past couple of months. Also, pairing this outfit with combat boots instead of the classic knee-high boots give it a cool vibe.

I hope everyone has had a rockin' day, despite the gross weather outside!

Also, you should check out my sisters youtube channel Dreamscometrue120! She makes videos about make-up tutorials and other fashion related items. I made a little guest appearance to one of her videos recently!

Well until next time,

Oh, Rainy days!

Trench Coat: Anthropologie; Shirt: BCBG tunic; Jeans: Adriano Goldschmied Cords; Bag: large shopping Chanel bag; Shoes: Sam Edelman Aster slipper; Jewelry: VSA (necklace), Neiman Marcus Federic Sage jelly bean ring

Today it was gloomy, rainy, and chilly here in Houston, so I paired a trench coat with some oxblood colored cords, and these fun glittery slippers and I was ready to go. Under the trench I wore this white feminine striped lace tunic, I didn't want to over power the oxblood or the navy by wearing another color. Then for my jewelry I threw on one of my VSA necklaces, I don't think the one I am wearing is still available I couldn't find it online, but it is just the classic San Benito Magdalena necklace. And last not but not least my jelly bean ring.

I hope everyone had a happy day today!

Until next time,
xoxo Kaimynalexis

Happy New Year Lovelies!

Blazer: American Eagle; Shirt: Haute Hippie; Jewerly: VSA (necklace), Swarovski, Brandy Melville;  Jeans: Adriano Goldschmied; Shoes: Jimmy Choo

This a delayed post of what I wore for a family New Years party, and since I let it get too dark before I decided to take pictures I had to use my dress form instead. Oopsies! But I did snag a little picture of my shoes and jeans! Since it was a family and close friends gathering I didn't want to be too glittery, so I opted for this semi-sequined top and a cool blazer. Since I am pretty tall this particular blazer was a tad short in the arms, but this shirt was perfect for it because the cuffs were able to peek out and it looked like the blazer was short on purpose. Also to be a little more casual I wore a pair of dark AG jeans (my ABSOLUTE favorite), but I didn't want to be too casual so I borrowed a pair of my sweet momma's shoes! I tried to balance out the outfit between classy and casual. I stuck to my every day rings, and threw on one of my favorite VSAs and walked out the door!

I hope everyone had a great and safe New Years Eve and Day! 2012 was probably one of my favorite years, and I am so excited to see what 2013 has in store for me! Creating this blog was just one of several New Years Resolutions for me. I have been wanting to create one for a while and I finally got the courage to do so! So I hope you enjoy it! Feel free to leave me any comments or suggestions!

Until next time,
xoxo Kaimynalexis

Vests & Sweaters

Today was a bit chilly here in Houston, so I decided to layer it up. I recently purchased this vest, which was a surprise to me because I usually do not go for this color but since it's in trend I decided to give it a try and I ABSOLUTELY love it. I really love layering different pieces together, it is one of my favorite things about having chilly weather. Chilly weather to us Texans is in the 40s, you start to see a whole lot of parkas and even fur coats when it starts to hit 50 here in the lone star state. This sweet vest is the BDG sleeveless hooded surplus vest from Urban Outfitters. I am wearing another long sleeve shirt under the sweater to provide some more warmth, which was purchased from Free People about a year or so ago. The snuggly sweater is Vince, and is currently on sale at Neiman Marcus. I am not quite sure where the leggings are from, but you can find leggings anywhere!  My necklace is VSA, which you can find at Neimans or certain boutiques or their online store. I am obsessed with these necklaces, because they add a little something to any outfit and can be worn both long and short. The bag is the large shopping Chanel bag. Then last but not least the kicks are Vince Camuto

I hope everyone is having a fantastic day, and is doing whatever makes them happy!

Until next time,
xoxo Kaimynalexis
